YOUTH CONSERVATORY FALL CLASS SCHEDULE: Fall 2008

Classes begin: September 1st
Cost: The monthly cost is listed next to each class below. 
Payment Options: Tuition payment can be made per month or per semester. If payment is made per semester a $10 discount will be applied to the overall cost.
Tuition Discount: A $10 dollar discount is given for each additional class up to four classes. There is also a $10 discount for those paying per semester.

        Note: The Stage Makeup class starts in October and has an additional fee of $40.00 to purchase a stagee makeup kit. Student must be signed up no later than Monday September 22nd. 

Class Pre-requisites and Audition Requirements:

1) 6th-8th Grade Advanced Acting Class:
• Have at least one year of classes (or summer school) and one show on resume
• Read a play and write a one page report (due Sept 22nd)
• Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue to be performed on Audition date
• Take a short theatre quiz on audition date
Audition Date and Time: Saturday September 27th at Venture Theatre 10:00am

2) High School Level 2 Acting Class:
• Have at least one year of classes (or summer school) and one show on resume
• Resume
• Write a 2 page report on any style or era of theatre (Due September 27th)
• Prepare 2 contrasting monologues to be performed on audition date
• Take a short theatre quiz on day of audition
Audition Date and Time: Saturday September 27th at Venture Theatre 11:00am

3) Group Voice Level II: Starting in October
• All students will start in the level one class.
• Sing 32 measures of any song of their choosing (no Accapella please)
• Take a short music quiz on day of audition
 
4) Hip Hop Level 2: Starting in October
• All students interested in being in the Level 2 class will need to start out in the Level one class. 
• Students will be placed in the Level 2 class based on the instructor’s discretion.

We would like to thank everyone for working so hard this month. If you are in level one do not feel discouraged at all! We have two great classes and we put everyone where we thought was the best fit for them. Let’s have a great dance year and we will see you next week!

Thank you to all who auditioned.  I appreciate all of you showing up and giving it your best.  If you made the class, we will begin next Tuesday, October 7 at 5:30.  Please be on time with a notebook, folder, pen or pencil.  If you did not make the class, please do not be disheartened.  There will be another opportunity for you in the spring to audition again if you so choose.  If you have any questions about our decision please see Sarah or I.  We can certainly share things that you can work on before the next audition.
