Venture Unplugged: Like a Muv...
Past Production - September 2004
A Cabaret by Lydia O'Neil, Jim Patterson
Directed by Mace Archer
Old School Venture is back with the sharpest satire and the
most scathing wit (or is it stupidity) in the region. Billed as a Saturday Night
Live with a lot more music, the Unplugged series was the highly popular,
irreverent orginal comedies Venture produced all through the late '90's. The
original gang is back to revive the form in what promises to be an uncanny
election cycle - full of vitiol and vagaries. You won't want to miss your chance
to laugh at all things Venture, yo!
The comedy runs the gamut from political barbs just in time for the
presidential election to a celebration of the folks who camp out in Wal-Mart's
parking lot. The show includes music from The Eagles, Broadway and Maroon 5.
